For entrepreneurs who will buy or start and actively manage a PEI business. Candidates enter the EOI pool, are invited, verify their net worth, then receive a work permit to run the business before a nomination for permanent residence.
Who it suits
- Entrepreneurs with at least $600,000 verified net worth willing to manage a PEI business day to day
Requirements
- Net worthPersonal net worth of at least $600,000 CAD from legal sources, verified by a designated net worth verifier after invitation. ↗ princeedwardisland.ca
- InvestmentInvest at least $150,000 in the business within 12 months of landing; at least 70% ownership for business value to count toward net worth. ↗ princeedwardisland.ca
- LanguageCLB/NCLC 4 minimum (CLB/NCLC 6 for the spouse or partner). ↗ princeedwardisland.ca

How candidates are selected
EOI points (maximum 200) covering age, language, education, business experience, community endorsement and adaptability. Invitation to apply has 60 days to submit.
Location requirement: Must live in PEI and manage the business there.
