What the grid is for
The Federal Skilled Worker program uses its own 100-point grid, separate from CRS. You need 67 points to be eligible to enter the pool as an FSW candidate. The six factors are language (28), education (25), work experience (15), age (12), arranged employment (10) and adaptability (10).
Common questions
Does a job offer still count here?
Yes. The FSW grid still gives up to 10 points for arranged employment and 5 adaptability points, even though CRS no longer does.
I passed 67. Will I be invited?
Not necessarily. Passing makes you eligible; invitations depend on your CRS and on which rounds IRCC holds.
What counts for adaptability?
Your partner's language at CLB 4+, past study or work in Canada by you or your partner, arranged employment, and relatives in Canada. The total is capped at 10.
