How candidates are selected

Worker EOI (score out of 100). Draws have been infrequent and minimum scores high (71-73 in 2026). Worker EOI (WEOI) is scored out of 100 on education, work experience, language and age; AAIP also weighs non-scored data such as NOC, industry and wage, so score alone does not decide selection.

Location requirement: Must be working in Alberta in the sector for an approved employer.

Processing: AAIP was assessing Tourism and Hospitality applications received from 2026-07-27 onward (as of the 2026-09-23 update).
