How candidates are selected

Pathway-specific draws from the worker EOI pool (score out of 100), separately for Express Entry and non-Express Entry candidates. Worker EOI (WEOI) is scored out of 100 on education, work experience, language and age; AAIP also weighs non-scored data such as NOC, industry and wage, so score alone does not decide selection.

Location requirement: Job with an Alberta health-sector employer; intend to live and work in Alberta.

Processing: AAIP was assessing Health Care Pathway applications received from 2026-08-29 onward (as of the 2026-09-23 update); expedited processing applies.
