How candidates are selected
Community endorsement first, then a worker EOI (score out of 100). Draws have had the lowest minimum scores of the worker streams (about 50-55 in 2026). Worker EOI (WEOI) is scored out of 100 on education, work experience, language and age; AAIP also weighs non-scored data such as NOC, industry and wage, so score alone does not decide selection.
Location requirement: Must intend to live and work in the designated community.
Processing: AAIP was assessing Rural Renewal applications received from 2026-08-17 onward (as of the 2026-09-23 update).
