2026 uses two employer expression-of-interest intake windows (2026-01-19 to 01-30 and 2026-07-06 to 07-17) and a points-based ranking to pick invitations; both windows have passed, so no new EOI intake is open as of 2026-10-01 unless the territory announces another.

How the province selects

Employer expression of interest during intake windows, ranked with points; highest-priority submissions are invited to full applications. No public draw scores.

Key facts

  • Priorities in 2026: regulated health professionals, employers in rural Yukon, and foreign nationals with a year or more of Yukon residence or work, Yukon University graduates, French speakers, or earlier Temporary Measure Letter holders.
  • People who applied in 2025 get bonus points if they apply again; holders of 2024-2025 Temporary Measure Letters skip the EOI step.
  • Employers must run a registered Yukon business for at least one year and show they could not recruit Canadians.
  • Foreign worker experience required: 12 months for Skilled Worker (TEER 0-3) and 6 months for Critical Impact Worker (TEER 4-5).
  • The territory expects far more applications than spaces; invitation deadlines were set for March and August.

IRCC allocated a maximum of 282 nominations for 2026 (also stated in the Yukon news release of 2026-01-12).
