New Brunswick Express Entry Stream

Limited intake Open but invitations are sector-targeted; since 2026-02-03 the accommodation and food services sector (NAICS 72) and a list of specific NOC codes are excluded.

Provincial stream for people with a valid Express Entry profile. Candidates submit a free Expression of Interest and are invited in rounds targeting labour-market sectors. Two pathways exist: Employment in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Interest (letter of interest).

  • Express Entry candidates already working full-time in New Brunswick for an eligible employer
  • Express Entry candidates who receive a letter of interest from Immigration New Brunswick

  7. Employment pathwayEmployment in New Brunswick pathway: full-time, non-seasonal TEER 0-3 job with an eligible employer operating 24+ months, and living and working full-time in New Brunswick for the past 12 months. ↗ gnb.ca
  8. Interest pathwayNew Brunswick Interest pathway: a letter of interest in the Express Entry profile and meeting federal proof-of-funds requirements. ↗ gnb.ca

How candidates are selected

EOIs stay in the NBPNP candidate pool for 365 days; Immigration New Brunswick invites candidates in rounds based on labour market needs, available allocation and other priorities. No minimum score is published.

Location requirement: Employment pathway: must have lived and worked in NB for 12 months; Interest pathway: letter of interest

Processing: IRCC service standards after nomination: 180 days for Express Entry-linked PNP files and 11 months for non-Express Entry files, excluding provincial time. Immigration New Brunswick says it cannot give processing times for individual applications.
