What the work involves

Main duties

  • Assess physical ability and make a physiotherapy diagnosis
  • Set treatment goals with patients
  • Carry out treatments such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, massage and electrotherapy
  • Review how well treatment works and adjust it
  • Advise on home exercise and strategies
  • Keep records and coordinate with referring doctors and other providers
